<br />CES:djm 11/6/89 (lOl/#25) <br />NOV 1 3 1989 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N o. 11 1 8 5 <br /> <br />OHlGi NAL <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS FOR SALE OF SURPLUS PIPES AND <br />MATERIALS DESCRIBED AS LOTS #l, #2, AND #6, AND <br />AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF SALE DOCUMENTS THEREFORE; <br />REJECTING BIDS FOR SALE OF SAID SURPLUS PROPERTY <br />DESCRIBED AS LOTS #3, #4, #5; AND DIRECTING RETURN OF <br />THE SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. l0990, adopted February <br /> <br />27,1989, the City of Redwood City ("City") declared certain <br /> <br />property described as Pipes and Materials Lots #l, #2, #3, #4, <br /> <br />#5, and #6 to be surplus property and directed the City Clerk to <br /> <br />advertise for bids for the sale of said Surplus Property; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, several bids were received <br /> <br />for each of the lots of surplus property, as more fully set forth <br /> <br />in Exhibit II A", hereof, attached hereto, and incorporated by <br /> <br />reference herein; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire and intention of this Council to <br /> <br />accept bids for the purchase of said surplus property described <br /> <br />as Lots #1, #2, and #6, to the lowest responsible bidders, namely <br /> <br />to Groeniger and Company for the purchase of Lots #1 and #2, and <br /> <br />to Roberts and Brune Company for the purchase of Lot #6,;and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire and intention of this Council to <br /> <br />reject all bids for the purchase of Surplus Property described as <br /> <br />Lots #3, #4, and #5; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />l. The bid of Groeniger and Company in the amount of Three <br /> <br />Thousand <br /> <br />Ten <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />No/100 <br /> <br />Dollars <br /> <br />($3,010.00) <br /> <br />for <br /> <br />the <br />
