7/12/99 <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2166 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ARTICLE II OF CHAPTER 12 OF <br /> THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY; ADDING <br /> ARTICLE II OF CHAPTER 12 TO THE CODE OF THE CITY OF <br /> REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO FIRE PREVENTION; AND <br /> ADOPTING BY REFERENCE THE "UNIFORM FIRE CODE, 1997 <br /> EDITION", AS PUBLISHED BY THE INTERNATIONAL FIRE <br /> CODE INSTITUTE <br /> <br /> THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1. Article II (commencing at §12.7) of Chapter 12 of the Code <br /> of Redwood City is hereby repealed. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2. Article II (commencing at §12.7) is hereby added to Chapter <br /> 12 of the Code of the City of Redwood City, to read as follows: <br /> <br /> "ARTICLE II <br /> <br /> FIRE PREVENTION CODE <br /> <br /> Section '12.7. Adoption; Conflicts. <br /> <br />A. Pursuant to Sections 50022.1 et seq., of the California Government Code <br /> and Section 15 of the Charter of the City, the 'Uniform Fire Code, 1997 <br /> Edition (including appendices divisions I, II, III, IV, V, VI-A, VI-B, VI-C, VI-E, <br /> VI-F, VI-G, VI-H, and VI-I), as published by the International Fire Code <br /> Institute, is hereby adopted and shall be in effect within the City to the same <br /> extent as set out in full herein, except as expressly amended by the <br /> provisions of this Article. <br /> <br />B.
