O R I G I N A L 11/27/95 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 12642 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT, BECAUSE <br /> OF LOCAL CONDITIONS, THE PUBLIC HEALTH, SAFE'FY, <br /> WELFARE AND NECESSITY, REQUIRE CHANGES OR <br /> MODIFICATION TO CERTAIN PROVISIONS OF ARTICLE II OF <br /> CHAPTER 12 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> AND ADOPTION OF THE "UNIFORM FIRE CODE, 1994 <br /> EDITION," BY REFERENCE AS PUBLISHED BY THE <br /> INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ADOPTION OF THE <br /> "UNIFORM FIRE CODE, 1994 EDITION," BY REFERENCE AS <br /> PUBLISHED BY THE INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE OF <br /> BUILDING OFFICIALS AND THE WESTERN FIRE CHIEFS <br /> ASSOCIATION, MODIFIED HEREIN, AND MADE APPLICABLE <br /> TO THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 50022.1, et seq., of the <br />Govemment Code, and Section 15 of the Charter of the City of Redwood City, <br />this Council proposes to adopt by reference the "Uniform Fire Code, 1994 <br />Edition," (hereinafter the "Fire Code") as published by the International <br />Conference of Building Officials and the Western Fire Chiefs Association; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in connection therewith, certain changes or modifications are <br />proposed to be made to the substantive provisions of said Fire Code, which <br />changes or modifications are reasonably necessary due to local conditions; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the changes and additions to said Fire Code, which are <br />proposed to be made clarify the Uniform Fire Code and in certain instances, <br />impose more stringent fire protection requirements relating to the (1) supervision <br />of or fumigation work, (2) installation and use of fire safety, and (3) Code <br />enforcement for false alarms; and <br /> <br />RESOL3 <br />FXS: rg <br />10/24/95 <br /> <br /> <br />
