<br />CGM:mf 8/26/81 <br /> <br />8961 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br />SEP 14 1981 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />AN APPLICATION FOR AN APPROPRIATION FR0JI1 THE GENERAL <br />FUND PURSUANT TO ROBERTI - Z'BERG URBAN OPEN-SPACE <br />AND RECREATION PROGRAM FOR HOOVER SCHOOL PARK IN <br />THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Legislature of the State of California has <br /> <br />enacted the Roberti - Z'Berg Urban Open-Space and Recreation Program, <br /> <br />and has authorized a procedure for applications for an appropriation <br /> <br />from the General Fund for fiscal year 1981-82 by certain political <br /> <br />subdivisions for land acquisition, facility development, program <br /> <br />operation, area maintenance, and for innovative projects in connection <br /> <br />therewith; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the State Department of Parks and Recreation has been <br /> <br />delegated the responsibility for the administration of the program, <br /> <br />and has established necessary procedures governing applications <br /> <br />by local agencies under this program; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said procedures established by the State Department <br /> <br />of Parks and Recreation require an applicant to certify by <br /> <br />resolution the approval of applications prior to submission of <br /> <br />said applications to the State of California; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said applications contain a certification that an <br /> <br />applicant will comply with all Federal, State, and local environmental <br /> <br />public health, relocation, affirmative action, and clearing house <br /> <br />requirements and all other appropriate codes, laws and regulations <br /> <br />prior to the expenditure of any funds; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the development of Hoover School Park is of a high <br /> <br />priority and satisfies the most urgent park and recreation needs <br /> <br />of the City of Redwood City; <br /> <br />N01i'], THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />8961 <br />
