<br />~!1Q.~J!11Q.l'! <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of th$ City of Redwood City on the 18th <br />day of February, 1935, duly passed and adopted Ordinance No. 357, creating <br />. a master plan which establi shed set back lines on El Cpino Real providing <br />for a right-of-wq 100 feet in width through the corpora.te limits of said <br />City, and <br /> <br />W'RJl"R1!AS. said 01 ty desires to bring a.bout an early widening and <br />improvement of said El Camino Real (a Major State Highway) to' a width of <br />100 feet and in accordance with the plans and gurveys of the State Highway <br />Commdssion which have already been completed, . <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, :BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Redwood City ac- <br />quiesces in the allocation of all of said City's share of gas tax money <br />that may have a.ccwnmulated during the present biennium, ending June 30. <br />1935. together with that which may accwnmulate during the next biennium, <br />ending June 30, 1937, said money to be, used for the purpose of said widen- <br />ing and improvement of said State Highway thro-ugh said Oi ty-, S1i.bj ect to <br />the approval of the State Highwaf Commission. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the State Highway Commission be requested <br />to use said accUll1IUU1atlon of ga.s tax money supplemented by any other State <br />Highway funds that ~ be made available for the acquisition of such rights- <br />of-way as maT be necessary for said widening of said El Camino Real through <br />Redwood City, and that said City's quota. of Federal Funds which may be avail- <br />able for highway construction under -the 4,g80 million dollar work relief bill <br />recently adopted by the Congress of the United States, be used for the neces- <br />sary labor and material in the actual construction and improvement of .said <br />projeot after said right-oi-way has been secured by said local and state funds. <br /> <br />:BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that- the City of Redwood Oi ty request the <br />assistance of the good offices of the California Highway Commission in ob- <br />taining a sufficient a.llocationof Federal money from said 4,ggO million <br />dollar Work Relief :Bill to accomplish said widening and improvement of said <br />El Cami no Real through Redwo od Ci ty · <br /> <br />The foregoing resolution wa.s :passed and adopted b;y the Council of the <br />City of Redwood City a.t its regular meeting held on the 15th daT of ~pr11, <br />1935, by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes and in fa.Tor of the passa€;e of the foregoing resolution:,. <br />Councilmen: L.
