RESOLUTION NO 228 AUTHORIZING CONVEYANCE OF REAL PROPERTY SOLD TO ALBERT I CHELSON AND W. E. AYER. WHEREAS the City Council. of the City of Redwood City has caused notiee of 8a1e of the real property hereinafter de- scribed to beg1ven 1n the manner and for the time required by the Charter of said City, and has caused the said real property to be appraised by a competent appralser appointed by the Council, all as required by said Charter, and WHEREAS in accordance witb said notice of sale, said City Council offered said property for sale at public auction on August 30, 1945, at 8:30 o'Clock, p.m., at the Council Chambers of said Council, at the City Hall in said City and at said sale, ALBERT ICHELSON and W. E. AYER, acting jointly, were the highest and bes t bidders, and the sum of Twenty Se.ven Thousand Five Hundred ($27,500.00) Dollars was the highest and best bid for said property, and said bid or offer was not less than Ninety (90%) Per Cent of the appraised value thereof as fixed by the appraiser appointed by said Council, and said Council has con- cluded that said bid or offer represents the fair value of said property, and said bid Iwas therefore accepted by said Council; RESOLVED that said City Council of said City does hereby sell said property situated in the City of Redwood City, County of San Mateo, State of California, and particularly described as follows: BEGINNING at the intersection o~ the southerly line of Broadway with the westerly line of Jef- ferson Avenue; running thence westerly along said line of Broadway 50 feet; thence at a right angle southerly 100 feet; thence at a right angle east- erly 50 feet to said line of Jefferson Avenue; and thence at a right angle northerly along the said line of Jefferson Avenue 100 feet to the point of beginning
