<br />/' <br />RESOLUTION NO. ~3 !:J3 <br /> <br />GRANTING CONSENT OF CITY OF REDWOOD CITY TO <br />ORDER THE AOQUISITION AND CONSTRUCTION OF <br />PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT IN CHARTER .STREET,....ANDTO <br />PROVIDE FOR ASSESSING A PORTION OF THE COST <br />THEREOF WITHIN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />I" <br /> <br />REDWOOD VILLAGE NO. 2 <br /> <br />RESOLVED, by the Council of the 9~ty of Redwood City, <br /> <br /> <br />San Mateo County, California, that <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of San <br /> <br /> <br />Mateo have undertaken proceedings for the ~mproving of Charter <br /> <br /> <br />street between Middlefield Road and Spring Street, and the <br /> <br /> <br />improving of the westerly one-half of Douglas street between <br /> <br /> <br />Block 1 Dmnbarton and Spring street by grading &ld constructing <br /> <br /> <br />therein 6tJ rock base pavement, armor coat wearing surface, <br /> <br /> <br />cement concrete curbs, gutters and sidewalks, vitrified clay <br /> <br /> <br />pipe sanitary sewers and cement concrete storm drains. \ <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is proposed to assess the cost thereof upon <br /> <br /> <br />the composite and consolidated area, the exterioJ? boundaries of <br /> <br /> <br />which are the coterminous exterior boundaries of the lands con- <br /> <br />tailled within Redwood :Villa.ge Subdivision No. 2 and a strip of <br />land northwesterly of, parallel and adjacent to the northwesterly <br />line of Charter street, a.nd its projection to Spring Street, <br />which strip 1s 52.5' wide and extends from Middlefield Road to <br />Spring street; <br />illIEREAS, the work so proposed to be done is of such a <br />character that it will directly and peculiarly affect the prop- <br />erty not only within the county,jor San Mateo but also vlithin the <br />City of Redwood City, and the purpOse sought to be accomplished <br />by said work can be best accomplished by a single, comprehensive <br />scheme of work as that proposed to be do~e; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there has been filed wi th ~th:Vs Council a. proposed <br />
