<br />SWC:wb 3/11/81 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />8 815 <br /> <br />O~!GINAL <br /> <br />MAR 1 6 1981 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING BID FOR LANDSCAPE CONSTRUCTION <br />AND PLANTING FOR CHESTNUT PARK; REJECTING ALL OTHER <br />BIDS RECEIVED; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR <br />SAID WORK; AND DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 8787, adopted February 9, <br /> <br />1981, the City Clerk called for bids for the Construction and <br /> <br />Planting of Chestnut Park in the City of Redwood City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, bids were received for the <br /> <br />performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, PALO ALTO LANDSCAPING CO., INC., Los Altos, <br /> <br />California, is the lowest responsible bidder and it is the <br /> <br />intention and desire of this Council to award said bid to said <br /> <br />PALO ALTO LANDSCAPING CO., INC.; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of PALO ALTO LANDSCAPING CO., INC., in the amount <br /> <br />of One Hundred Thirteen Thousand Three Hundred Seventy-two and <br /> <br />No/IOO Dollars ($113,372.00), computed in accordance with bidder's <br /> <br />proposal dated March 3, 1981, for the CDBG Construction and Planting <br /> <br />of Chestnut Park, according to those certain plans and specifications <br /> <br />entitled "Landscape Construction and Planting~Chestnut Park- <br /> <br />Redwood City, California" is hereby accepted and said bidder is <br /> <br />hereby found and declared to be the lowest responsible bidder for <br /> <br />said work. <br /> <br />2. Any and all bids received by the City of Redwood City for <br /> <br />the abovementioned work, other than the bid mentioned in paragraph 1 <br /> <br />hereof, are hereby rejected. <br /> <br />3. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br />enter into and execute on behalf of the City of Redwood City that <br /> <br />8 815 <br />
