<br />S\\TC:wb 9/18/80 <br /> <br />8 698 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br />SEP 22 1980 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING BID FOR RESURFACING OF DESIGNATED <br />STREETS; REJECTING ALL OTHER BIDS RECEIVED; AUTHORIZING <br />EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR SAID WORK; AND DIRECTING <br />RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 8674, adopted August 25, <br /> <br />1980, the City Clerk called for bids for the resurfacing of <br /> <br />portions of designated streets in the City of Redwood City; and <br /> <br />\~EREAS, pursuant to said call, bids were received for the <br /> <br />performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, RAISCH CONSTRUCTION CO., Mountain View, California, <br /> <br />is the lowest responsible bidder and it is the intention and <br /> <br />desire of this Council to award said bid to said Raisch Construction <br /> <br />Co. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS <br /> <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of Raisch Construction Co. in the total amount of <br /> <br />One Hundred Eighty-four Thousand Fifty and No/lOO Dollars <br /> <br />($184,050.00), computed in accordance with bidder's proposal dated <br /> <br />September 16, 1980, for the resurfacing according to those special <br /> <br />provisions entitled "Special provisions for the Construction of <br /> <br />Redwood City's Resurfacing Project - 1980-81" (including the plans <br /> <br />and standard specifications referenced therein) is hereby accepted <br /> <br />and said bidder is hereby found and declared to be the lowest <br /> <br />responsible bidder for said work. <br /> <br />2. Any and all bids received by the City of Redwood City for <br /> <br />the abovementioned work, other than the bid mentioned in paragraph 1 <br /> <br />hereof, are hereby rejected. <br /> <br />3. The City Hanager is hereby authorized and directed to enter <br /> <br />into and execute on behalf of the City of Redwood City that certain <br /> <br />8698 <br />
