1 <br />www.seqhd.org <br />525 Veterans Blvd <br />Redwood City, CA 94063 <br />650- 421- 2155 <br />MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING <br />This Memorandum of Understanding is entered into by and between Sequoia Healthcare District <br />Redwood City Together, a community collaborative of the <br />City of Redwood City, located in Redwood City, California. The City of Redwood City and Redwood <br />City Together work collaboratively to promote the health, safety, and success of all, and the <br />inclusion and empowerment of all community members through the Redwood City Together <br />initiative. The Redwood City Together initiative brings together community members to build <br />grassroots empathy and understanding and promote welcoming practices throughout the <br />community and build a more welcoming and inclusive community enhances the City's Strategic <br />Initiatives. <br />The District is a public entity serving designated areas in the southern part of San Mateo County. <br />The District provides, or arranges for, health services within the District boundaries. <br />This Memorandum of Understanding between the parties shall cover the period March 1, 2023 <br />through June 30, 2023. The District has agreed to provide a one-time grant of $85,000 to Redwood <br />City Together which will use such funds to support the ACE Program (Action Create and Engage for <br />Transition Age Youth), which intends to address youth crime, truancy and criminal disobedience in <br />Redwood City and surrounding communities. The ACE program is a community-based pilot initiative <br />that aims to foster positive relationships between community leaders, law enforcement, and the <br />Bike Life movement youth in Redwood City (RWC) and North Fair Oaks (NFO). No more than 15% of <br />grant may be used for administrative and marketing purposes. <br />Now, therefore, the parties agree as follows: <br />A. Redwood City Together shall for the duration of this Memorandum of Understanding: <br />1.
