PED/BIKE PROGRAM 2022 CALL FOR PROJECTS <br />San Mateo County Transportation Authority/City of Redwood City <br />Access to Downtown Bikeway Corridors Project <br />REV: 06-07-23 SK <br />19458381.2 <br />FUNDING AGREEMENT <br />SAN MATEO COUNTY TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY MEASURE W <br />PEDESTRIAN AND BICYCLE PROGRAM FUNDS <br /> <br />ACCESS TO DOWNTOWN BIKEWAY CORRIDORS PROJECT <br />This Funding Agreement (Agreement) is made this _________________ (Execution Date) by and <br />between the San Mateo County Transportation Authority (TA) and the City of Redwood City <br />(Sponsor), each of which is referred to herein individually as "Party" and jointly as "Parties." <br />RECITALS <br />WHEREAS, on November 6, 2018, the voters of San Mateo County authorized a new one-half <br />percent sales tax in San Mateo County (County) for transportation purposes, and tasked the TA <br />with administering four of the five transportation program categories described in the Congestion <br />Relief Plan presented to the voters (Measure W); and <br />WHEREAS, the Measure W Congestion Relief Plan designates five percent of Measure W funds <br />to Bicycle and Pedestrian projects throughout the County; and <br />WHEREAS, the TA Strategic Plan 2020-2024 reconciled the requirements of both Measures and <br />created a consolidated program to guide funding decisions; and <br />WHEREAS, on August 4, 2022, the TA issued the 2022 Cycle 6 Pedestrian and Bicycle Program <br />Call for Projects; and <br />WHEREAS, in response to the call for projects, Sponsor requested that the TA provide $615,000 <br />in funds for the Access to Downtown Bikeway Corridors Project (Project), as described in Exhibits <br />A and B; and <br />WHEREAS, the Project meets the intent of the 2018 Congestion Relief Plan and the TA’s <br />Strategic Plan 2020-2024; and <br />WHEREAS, on December 1, 2022, the TA’s Board of Directors programmed and allocated up to <br />$615,000 of Measure W funds from the Pedestrian and Bicycle Program Category for the Project <br />Approval and Environmental Documentation (PA&ED) and Plans, Specifications, and Estimates <br />(PS&E) phases of the Project through Resolution 2022-39; and <br />WHEREAS, the Sponsor will contribute $35,000 in local, state, federal, or other grant matching <br />funds for a total Project scope of work cost of $650,000; and <br />ATTY/AGR.2023.125/San Mateo County Transportation Authority (Funding Agreement-Access to Downtown Bikeway Corri) (Page 1 of 21)
