ATTY/RESO.0094/PC RESO ADOPTING A PROJECT TO BE EXEMPT FROM CEQA & APPROVING PERMIT – 970 EDGWOOD RD <br />REV: 11-08-2022 JB <br />Page 1 of 6 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 22-10 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY DETERMINING THE PROJECT TO BE EXEMPT FROM <br />CEQA AND APPROVING PERMIT NO. AP2022-021 FOR 970 <br />EDGEWOOD ROAD IN ACCORDANCE WITH CHAPTER 40 OF THE <br />REDWOOD CITY MUNICIPAL CODE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Applicant, Susan Raymond (the “Property Owner), applied for a <br />Permit to construct a 778-square foot one-story addition to the existing single-story <br />residence (the “Project”) located at 970 Edgewood Road (the “Property”); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City (the “City”) designated the residence on the <br />Property a local Historic Landmark (City Council Resolution Number 15913); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Chapter 40 of the Redwood City Municipal Code (“Historic <br />Preservation Ordinance”), the Planning Commission shall review any application to tear <br />down, demolish, construct, alter, remove or relocate any improvement, or any portion <br />thereof, which has been designated a historic landmark; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on October 13, 2022, the Historic Resource Advisory Committee held <br />a public hearing to review the permit application and supporting materials and <br />recommended approval of the Project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on November 4, 2022, a public hearing notice of the Planning <br />Commission hearing was published in the San Mateo Daily Journal and sent to the <br />Property Owner and was mailed to owners and tenants within 300 feet of the Property; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on November 15, 2022, the Planning Commission conducted a duly <br />noticed public hearing in accordance with all applicable requirements of State Law to <br />review the permit application and related materials; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on November 15, 2022, the Property Owner, adjacent neighbors, and <br />all other interested parties were given the opportunity to participate in the public hearing <br />through oral testimony and the submittal of written comments; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on November 15, 2022, the Planning Commission fully reviewed, <br />considered, and evaluated the staff report prepared for the Project, including the <br />attachments to the staff report, oral and written public testimony, and all other documents <br />and evidence in the public record on the Project. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PLANNING COMMSSION OF <br />THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: <br />
