From:Sabine Won
To:publiccomment; GRP-City Council
Subject:sanctuary city ordinance 11/25
Date:Wednesday, November 20, 2024 2:03:18 PM
You don't often get email from sabinedwon@yahoo.com. Learn why this is important
I'm a longtime resident of San Mateo County and a member of SURJ San Mateo (Showing Up
for Racial Justice.) At the November 25 city council meeting, I urge you to support an
ordinance restricting the use of city resources to assist or cooperate with immigration
authorities. If you're serious about being committed to building an inclusive community that
welcomes immigrants and newcomers to participate in civic, cultural, and economic life, then
you mustn't allow mass deportations. This would go against everything that the city of
Redwood City has done to create a safe, diverse community. This would also go against the
sanctuary policy of San Mateo County and the California Values Act. Thank you for all you
do to keep our residents safe and families intact!
Sabine Won
