ATTY/RESO.0062/CC RESO FY 25-26 SEWER SERVICE CHARGES REPORT <br />REV: 06-02-25 MI <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 16326 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY ADOPTING THE FISCAL YEAR 2025-26 SEWER SERVICE <br />CHARGES REPORT, AUTHORIZING THE COLLECTION OF SEWER <br />SERVICE CHARGES ON THE TAX ROLL FOR RESIDENTIAL <br />CUSTOMERS WITH ONE DWELLING UNIT PER PARCEL <br />WHEREAS, on May 6, 2024, the City Council of the City of Redwood City (“City”) <br />adopted Ordinance No. 2537, which established and levied sewer service charges upon <br />each premises or any portion thereof that receives or uses sewerage service from the <br />City’s sewerage facilities; and <br />WHEREAS, the sewer service charges were adopted in compliance with Article <br />XIIID, Section 6 of the California Constitution, Government Code section 53750 et seq., <br />and Health and Safety Code section 5471; and <br />WHEREAS, the City would like to continue imposing the previously adopted sewer <br />service charges on Residential Customers with one (1) dwelling unit on an annual basis <br />by collecting the sewer service charges for those customers on the tax roll pursuant to <br />Health and Safety Code section 5473 et seq.; and <br />WHEREAS, the City prepared a written report for Fiscal Year 2025-2026 <br />(“Report”), which contains a description of each parcel of real property, containing a <br />Residential Customer with one (1) dwelling unit, that receives sewerage services from the <br />City’s sewerage facilities and the amount of the sewer service charge for each of those <br />parcels for the Fiscal Year, computed in conformity with the sewer service charges set by <br />Ordinance No. 2537; and <br />WHEREAS, the Report is on file with the City Clerk and available to the public; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the Report provides that the sewer service charges for each parcel <br />listed in the Report will be $1,254.96 for Fiscal Year 2025-2026; and <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting on June 9, 2025, after duly publishing all required <br />notices, the City Council held a public hearing as part of a regularly scheduled meeting <br />to consider the Report and heard all objections or protests to the Report, if any. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The recitals set forth above are true and correct and are hereby <br />incorporated herein by this reference as if fully set forth in their entirety.
