ATTY/RESO.0125/CC RESO AMENDING CLASSIFICATION AND WAGE AND SALARY PLAN (CRIME ANALYST) <br />REV: 12-05-25 MI <br />Page 1 of 1 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 16384 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY AMENDING THE CITY’S CLASSIFICATION AND SALARY AND <br />WAGE PLAN TO: 1) ESTABLISH THE NEW CLASSIFICATION OF <br />CRIME ANALYST, AND 2) AMEND SALARY RANGES FOR CERTAIN <br />CLASSIFICATIONS TO MEET 2026 LOCAL MINIMUM WAGE <br />REQUIREMENTS EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2026 <br />WHEREAS, the City Manager has requested that a new job description of Crime <br />Analyst with salary set same as Human Resources Analyst I/II be established to meet the <br />current and future operational needs for the City; and <br />WHEREAS, the classification specifications as described in Exhibit “A” were <br />prepared by Human Resources staff in consultation with department management, to <br />ensure the foreseeable needs of the organization were met; and <br />WHEREAS, Human Resources staff met and conferred with the Redwood City <br />Management Employees Association, and reached agreement on the proposed job <br />description as described in Exhibit “A”; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council adopted an Ordinance that provides for an increase <br />in the local minimum wage from $18.20 to $18.65 per hour effective January 1, 2025, and <br />the wage ranges for certain classifications must be adjusted accordingly as listed in <br />Exhibit “B”. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: <br />1.The recitals set forth above are true and correct and are hereby <br />incorporated by this reference as if fully set forth in their entirety. <br />2.The City’s Classification and Salary and Wage Plan is hereby amended to <br />create the job description for Crime Analyst as listed in Exhibit “A”, and to reflect salary <br />for the new classification of Crime Analyst, and to increase certain other classification <br />salary ranges to meet local minimum wage effective January 1, 2026, as listed in the full <br />salary plan attached as Exhibit “B”. <br />3.This resolution shall be effective upon the date of its adoption. <br />* * *
