ATTY/RESO.0040/CC RESO ADOPTING THE BUDGET FOR FY 26-27 <br />REV: 06-16-26 MI <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 16419 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY ADOPTING THE BUDGET OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY FOR <br />FISCAL YEAR JULY 1, 2026 - JUNE 30, 2027, AND PROVIDING FOR <br />THE APPROPRIATION AND EXPENDITURE OF ALL SUMS SET FORTH <br />IN SAID BUDGET <br />WHEREAS, in accordance with the Charter of the City of Redwood City, the City <br />Manager has submitted to the Council of Redwood City a proposed annual budget for <br />Fiscal Year July 1, 2026 - June 30, 2027; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the Charter, after duly noticed public hearing, the Council <br />has approved the budget, and it has been certified as the Budget of the City for Fiscal <br />Year 2026-27; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the intention of the Council of Redwood City to adopt the certified <br />copy of the Budget presently on file in the office of the City Clerk. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1. Adoption of Budget. The Budget for the Fiscal Year July 1, 2026 - <br />June 30, 2027, approved by the Council and certified by the City Clerk and City Manager, <br />presently on file in the office of the City Clerk, is adopted. The Budget is contained in the <br />document entitled “Adopted Budget FY 2026-27.” <br />SECTION 2. Appropriations. The amounts designated for subprograms in the <br />Budget document’s “Detailed Operating Expenditure Schedule” are appropriated to each <br />designated subprogram (excepting the Successor Agency subprogram which is being <br />adopted and appropriated by separate action of the City Council acting in its capacity as <br />the Successor Agency to the dissolved Redwood City Redevelopment Agency) and the <br />amounts designated for capital projects listed in the Budget document’s “Capital <br />Improvement Program” section are appropriated. The amounts designated for the debt <br />service payments listed in the document’s “City Debt” section and payments listed for <br />assessment districts debt listed in the document’s “Fiduciary Funds” section are <br />appropriated (except those for the Successor Agency’s debt which will be adopted and <br />appropriated by a separate action of the Successor Agency).The Revenue Estimates for <br />2026-27 in the Budget document’s “Consolidated Revenue Schedule”, including those for <br />the Redwood City Public Financing Authority and assessment and improvement districts <br />but excepting those for the Successor Agency, are appropriated. <br />SECTION 3. Authorized Positions. The number of full-time equivalent <br />employees, as listed in the Budget document’s “Personnel Allocations by Department” <br />are authorized and approved.
