MINUTE ORDER <br /> <br /> CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br /> <br /> July 15, 1996 <br /> <br /> MO. 96-176 <br /> <br />CITY CLERK DEPARTMENT <br />Redwood City <br /> <br />DATE: July 17, 1996 <br /> <br />Attention: City Manager <br /> City Attorney <br /> Community Development Director <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Red Morton Community Park Playground Project (304) <br />Meeting of the Council of the City of Redwood City on July 15, 1996. <br /> <br />Present: Councilmembers Buchan, Claire, Howard, La Berge, Leipzig, Ruskin <br /> and Mayor Hartnett <br /> <br />Absent: None <br /> <br />The following motion was made, carded and entered on the Minutes: <br /> <br /> G. Red Morton Community Park Playground Project; <br /> <br /> REPORT: Senior Engineer Vorametsanti, July 15, 1996 <br /> <br /> In response to questions from Councilman Leipzig, City Attorney Schricker <br /> advised that the lowest bid on this project was defective as it did not include a <br /> bond; and the Council could reject all bids and go out to bid again. <br /> <br /> Engineering Manager Patterson advised that the lowest bidder apparently <br /> unintentionally submitted a defective bid, and the Engineering Department had <br /> followed the law by disqualifying that bid and awarding it to the next lowest <br /> bidder. <br /> <br /> <br />
