<br />RES Q L UTI 0 N N .0. 2143 <br /> <br />GRANTING VARIANCE FROM CERTAIN PROVISIONS <br />OF THE 2'DNING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY TO L. N. MELEYCO <br /> <br />WHEREAS, L. N. Meleyco has made application to the Board <br />of Adjustments of the Planning Commission of the City of <br />Redwood City for a variance from the strict application of <br />certain provisions of Ordinance No. 600 (the Zoning Ordinance <br />of the City of Redwood City) in accordance with Sections 2.02 <br />and 2.04 of said ordinance; and, <br />WHEREAS, said Board has held at least one public hearing <br />with reference to said application; has recommended that this <br />Council grant said application subject to stated conditions; <br />and has found that the following conditions exist: <br /> <br />(a) That there are exceptional or extraordinary <br />circumstances which apply to the land, building <br />or use referred to in the general application, <br />which circumstances or conditions do not <br />generally apply to lands, buildings or uses in <br />the same district. <br /> <br />(b) That the granting of the application is necessary <br />for the preservation and enjoyment of substantial <br />property rights of the petitioner. , <br /> <br />(c) That the granting of such application will not <br />materially affect adversely neighboring property <br />or the public welfare or the health or safety of <br />persons residing or working in the neighborhood. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF REDWOOD CITY: <br /> <br />1. This Council hereby approves the abovementioned <br />findings of the Board of Adjustments of the Planning Commission <br /> <br />and confirms the same. <br /> <br />2. In accordance with Section 2.01 of Ordinance No. 600, <br /> <br />this Council does hereby grant to L. N. Meleyco a variance from <br /> <br />the strict application of the provisions of said Ordinance, sub- <br /> <br />ject to the conditions hereinafter set forth, as follows: <br /> <br />Variance from the provisions of Section 8.l(g) to <br />permit a rear yard depth of not less than 5' <br />instead of the required 15' on those certain lots <br /> <br />-1- <br />
