<br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />NO. 2150 <br /> <br />PROTESTING PROPOSED DRAINAGE SYSTEM FOR <br />ATHERTON HEIGHTS-SEQUOIA AREA DRAINAGE <br />DISTRICT <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AS <br /> <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />WHEREAS, preliminary plans for construction of drainage <br />facilities to serve the area bounded by Woodside Road, Selby <br /> <br />Lane, Nimitz Avenue, Atherton Avenue end Ridgeway Drive in the <br /> <br />County of San Mateo, have been submitted to the Office of the <br />City Engineer of the Cit:y- of Redwood City; and, <br />WHEREAS, said plans have been reviewed by the Engineering <br />Department of the City of Redwood city and Mr. Paul Adamson, <br />Consulting Engineer for the city of Redwood City; and, <br />WHEREAS, on the basis of reports submitted by said <br />Engineering Department and by the abovementioned Mr. Paul Adamson, <br />this Council has found that a large portion of the abovementioned <br /> <br />drainage system, which is proposed to be connected to the existing <br />concrete storm water culvert on Woodside Road in the City of <br />Redwood City, is not naturally tributary thereto; that said exist- <br />ing culvert in Woodside Road has a maximum capacity of approxi- <br />mately 160 c.f.a. of storm water and it is proposed to deposit <br />therein an estimated 195 c.1'.s. of storm water; and, that construc- <br />tion of artifical ditches and a permanent drainage system carrying <br />drainage from the above described area for deposit in the above- <br />mentioned Woodside Road culvert~ and/or the Redwood Creek channel <br /> <br />would overload said Woodside Road culvert and said Redwood Creek <br /> <br />channel; a.nd, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council <br /> <br />to protest the establishment of any permanent drainage system <br />which would overload said existing Woodside Road culvert, and/or <br />said Redwood Creek channel; NOW, THEREFORE: <br />1.
