RESO~UTIOli NO. 2157 AWARDING CONTRACT F10R CONSTRUCTION OF POLICE STATION BUILDING: CONSENTING TO THE SUB-CONTRACTING OF CERTAIN PORTIONS OF' SAID WORK; AND, FINDING THAT PUBLIC NECESSITY REQUIRES SAID SUB-CONTRACTING WHEREAS, this Council by Resolution No. 2148 adopted November 26, 1956, did call for bids for the construction of a new police station building in the City of Redwood City in ac- , cordance with plans and specifications therefor approved by Resolution No. 2124, adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City October 22,1956; and,' WHEREAS, bids were received in accordance with said call this 17th day of December, 1956; and, WHEREAS, the lowest responsible bidder, to wit, BELLE HAVEN REALTY COMPANY, failed to submit a complete list of' sub- contractors at the time said bid was filed; and, WHEREAS, said low bidder has prior to this time submitted a complete list of sub-contractors and incorporated said list in said bid and made the same a part thereof; and, WHEREAS, it is the intention of this Council to waive any informality in the bid of the abovementioned low bidder in accord- ance with rights reserved to it in the abovementioned specifications and in the notice to bidders; and, WHEREAS, it is the intention of this Council, as the award- ing authority, to consent to, and permit, the sub-contracting of all portions of the work as to which a sub-contractor has been designated in the abovementioned complete list of sub-contractors presently incorporated and made a part of the bid of the above- mentioned Belle Haven Realty Company; and, WHEREAS, it is the find and determination of this Council that public necessity requires that said consent and permission be granted; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: -1-
