<br />DES:em 8/4/70 <br /> <br />~'. <br /> <br />.. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br />SIP 14 19/~ <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br />---------- <br /> <br />N O. ~d17? <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXCHANGE OF REAL PROPERTY INTERESTS <br />AND APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT AMEND- <br />ING LEASE AGREEMENT OF REDWOOD CITY MARINE HARBOR REAL <br />PROPERTY FOR BOAT SALES AND MARINE HARDWARE FACILITIES <br /> <br />WlffiREAS, the city of Redwood city, as Lessor, and Howard <br /> <br />Leahy, Jr., as Lessee, have heretofore made and entered into <br /> <br />that certain lease agreement entitled IILease Agreement - Redwood <br /> <br />City Marine Harbor Boat Sales and Marine Hardware Facilities," <br /> <br />dated July 1, 1967 (hereinafter referred to as the basic lease <br /> <br />agreement) 7 and <br /> <br />'~HEREAS, the public interest, convenience, and necessity <br /> <br />require the substitution and exchange of that certain real property <br /> <br />more particularly described in Exhibit IIA" hereof, attached hereto, <br /> <br />and by this reference incorporated herein, and designated "Parcel <br /> <br />A (property to be conveyed by the Ci ty of Redvlood Ci ty) II for and <br /> <br />in place of the premises leased pursuant to the basic lease agree- <br /> <br />ment which property is described on pages one and two of said <br /> <br />basic lease agreement and designated Parcel 1 and Parcel 2 therein, <br /> <br />and which is also described in EXhlbit "A" hereof and designated <br /> <br />IIparcel B (property to be received by the City of Redwood citv)"~ <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />hTHEREAS, the Ci ty of Redwood Ci ty and Howard Leahy, Jr. t <br /> <br />propose to substitute and exchange the aforesaid Parcel A for <br /> <br />and in place of the aforesaid Parcel B, and enter into an agreement <br /> <br />providing therefor; and <br /> <br />WHEREF~S I the Assessor of the Ci ty of Redvlood Ci ty has, pursua.nt <br /> <br />to the provisions of subdivision (h) of Section 3-1/2 of the <br /> <br />Charter of the City of Redwood City, made an appraisal of all the <br /> <br />real property included within the proposed exchange and has found <br /> <br />that the value of the property to be received by the city of <br /> <br />Redwood City is equal to or greater than the value of the prbperty <br /> <br />to be disposed of; <br />
