CGM:yc:7/2/70 Rev: 7/6/70 ORIGINAL RES 0 L UTI 0 N NO. 6333 ---------- NO. ~.J'.i'J July 6,1970 RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACTS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF ACCESS ROADS FOR WATER RESERVOIRS AND FOR THE RESURFACING OF DESIGNATED STREETS: REJECTING ALL OTHER BIDS RECEIVED: AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF CONTRACTS FOR SAID WORK: AND DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 6300, adopted May 25, 1970, the City Clerk called for bids for the construction of access roads for water reservoirs and for the resurfacing of portions of designated streets in the City of Redwood City: and WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, bids were received for the performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk: and WHEREAS, L. C. SMITH COMPANY, San Mateo, California, is the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of access roads for said water reservoirs and PIOMBO CORPORATION, San Carlos, California, is the lowest responsible bidder for the resurfacing of designated streets, and it is the intention and desire of this Council to,'a-laro said bids for said bid items to said lowest responsible bidders: NOW, THEREFORE; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: 1. The bid of L. C. SMITH COMPANY, in the total amount of Fifteen Thousand Two Hundred Forty-four and 55/100 Dollars ($15,244.55), more or less, computed in accordance with bidder's proposal dated June 24, 1970, for the construction of access roads for Brewster Reservoir, Easter Cross Tank and Wilmington Reservoir, in accordance with plans and specifications entitled "General Specifications and Special provisions for Construction of Access Roads for Water Reservoirs and Street Resurfacing for Fiscal Year 1969-1970 (Phase II), City of Redwood City, California," is hereby accepted and said bidder is hereby found and declared
