GULLEDGE, <br />COMMISSIONER OF FEDERAL HOUSING AUTHORITY, AND URGING <br />HIS CONT~NUING SUPPORT FOR RESOLUTION OF MATTERS <br />RELATING TO FHA FINANCING AND INSURANCE PARTICIPATION <br />IN REDWOOD CITY GENERAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 1-64 <br />(REDWOOD SHORES) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Redwood City acts as <br /> <br />the Board of Directors and governing body of Redwood City General <br /> <br />Improvement District No. 1-64 (Redwood Shores): and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the recent cessation by the Federal Housing Authority <br /> <br />of FHA participation in financing and insurance for housing in <br /> <br />said General Improvement District No. 1-64 is of serious concern <br /> <br />to this Council; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Eugene A. Gulledge, Commissioner of Federal Housing <br /> <br />Authority, and Assistant Secretary of Department of Housing and <br /> <br />Urban Development, has recently met in the nation's capitol with <br /> <br />representatives of the City of Redwood City to discuss the <br /> <br />cessation of FHA financing and insurance participation for <br /> <br />housing in said General Improvement District No. 1-64: and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Gulledge has devoted considerable time and <br /> <br />effort to solving the problems related to said cessation of FHA <br /> <br />participation: and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to express its <br /> <br />appreciation to Mr. Gulledge for his efforts, and to request <br /> <br />his continued efforts; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE: <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. That this Council hereby expresses its appreciation to <br /> <br />Eugene A.
