"PETE" MC CLOSKEY, JR., AND URG ING HIS <br />CONTINUING SUPPORT FOR RESOLUTION OF MATTERS <br />RELATING TO FEDERAL HOUSING AUTHORITY FINANCING <br />AND INSURANCE PARTICIPATION IN REDWOOD CITY GENERAL <br />IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 1-64 (REDWOOD SHORES) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Redwood City acts as <br /> <br />the Board of Directors and governing body of Redwood City General <br /> <br />Improvement District No. 1-64: and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the recent cessation by the Federal Housing Authority <br /> <br />of FHA participation in financing and insurance for housing in <br /> <br />said General Improvement District No. 1-64 is of serious concern <br /> <br />to this Council: and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Congressman Paul N. "Pete" MCCloskey, Jr., has <br /> <br />devoted many hours of study in acquainting himself with the <br /> <br />problems attendant upon the aforesaid cessation of FHA partici- <br /> <br />pation; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Congressman MCCloskey has further devoted much <br /> <br />time and effort to resolving the matters related to said cessation: <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Representative MCCloskey has recently provided <br /> <br />representatives of the City of Redwood City the opportunity to <br /> <br />meet in the nation's capitol with representatives of the many <br /> <br />Federal agencies involved with the aforesaid cessation: <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE: <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. That this Council hereby expresses its appreciation to <br /> <br />Congressman Paul N. IIPete" MCCloskey, Jr., for the time and <br /> <br />effort Congressman McCloskey has devoted, on behalf of the City <br /> <br />of Redwood City, to resolving the matters related to the <br />
