HOLMES, INC., and HOLMES CLAIR, INC., <br /> <br />a Joint Venture, Menlo Park, California, is the lowest <br /> <br />responsible bidder and it is the intention and desire of this <br /> <br />Council to award said contract to Oscar C. Holmes, Inc., and <br /> <br />Holmes Clair, Inc., a Joint Venture; <br /> <br />i'TOW, THEREFORE i <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOI.vB: <br /> <br />1. The bid of OSCAR C. HOLMES, INC., and HOLMES CLAIR, <br /> <br />INC., a Joint Venture, in the total amount of Forty Two Thousand <br /> <br />Seven Hundred Eight~' Dollars ($42,780.00), more or less, computed <br /> <br />at the unit prices quoted in bidder's proposal, opened August 20, <br /> <br />1969, for construction of improvements relating to Belmont Drain, <br /> <br />Phase II, for General Improvement District No. 1-64 in the City <br /> <br />of Redwood City, in accordance with the plans and specificati6ns <br /> <br />therefor on file in the office of the City Clerk, is hereby <br /> <br />accepted and said bidder is hereby declared to be the lowest <br /> <br />responsible bidder. <br /> <br />2. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br />enter into and execute on behalf of the City of Redwood city <br />
