<br />r <br />! <br /> <br />.J <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />DES.ek 7/25/69 <br /> <br />.. r <br /> <br />O~9!N:~ <br />~ 2-?h' <br /> <br />RE~OLUT1.0N <br /> <br />N O. btJ5S- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF <br />PAR~~AY FENCING FOR PENINSULA PARKWAY, SECTION 1, <br />AND BRIDGE PARKWAY, SECTION 1, FOR REDWOOD CITY <br />GENERAL IMPROVE~BNT DISTRICT No. 1-64: AUTHORIZING <br />EXECUTION OF CONTRACT FOR SAID WORK; AND, DIRECTING <br />RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 6038, adopted July 14, <br /> <br />1969, the City Clerk called for bids for the construction of <br /> <br />parkway fencing for Section 1 of peninsula Parkway and <br /> <br />Section 1 of Bridge Parkway for Redwood City General Improve- <br /> <br />ment District No. 1-64: and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, bids were received and <br /> <br />filed with the City Clerk; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, GEORGE E. CONGDON, III, CONSTRUCTION CO., INC., <br /> <br />is the lowest responsible bidder and it is the intention and <br /> <br />desire of this Council to award said contract to George E. <br /> <br />Congdon, III, Construction Co., Inc.: <br /> <br />NO\1, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY Trill COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOT\vS: <br /> <br />.,1. The bid of GEORGE E. CONGDON, III, CONSTRUCTION CO., <br /> <br />INC., in the total amount of Sixteen Thousand Five Hundred Four <br /> <br />Dollars ($16,504.00), more or less, computed in accordance <br /> <br />with bidder's proposal under Bid Schedule B for Alternate <br /> <br />Scheme II, opened July 23, 1969, for the construction of parkway <br /> <br />~encing for peninsula Parkway, Section 1, and Bridge Parkway, <br /> <br />Section I, Redwood City General Improvement District No. 1-64, <br /> <br />in accordance with the plans and specifications therefor on file <br /> <br />in the.office of the City Clerk, is hereby accepted, and said <br /> <br />bidder is hereby declared to be the lowest responsible bidder. <br /> <br />2. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br />enter into and execute on behalf of the City of Redwood City <br />
