RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF ALAMEDA DE LAS PULGAS WIDENING, FERNSIDE STREET TO WOODSIDE ROAD IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND THE TO~m OF WOODSIDE~ REJECTING ALL OTHER BIDS RECEIVED; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF CONTRACT FOR SAID WORK; AND DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 5997, adopted May 26, 1969, the City Clerk called for bids for the construction of the Alameda de las Pulgas widening improvements, Fernside Street to Woodside Road: and WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, bids were received and filed with the city Clerk for the performance of said work; and WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City and the Town of Woodside have formally agreed to the sharing of costs of said project: and WlffiREAS, L. C. Smith Company, San Mateo, California, is the lowest responsible !?idder, and it is the intention and desire of this Council to award said bid to said L. C. Smith Company, to waive any informality in the bid of the above mentioned low bidder, and to reject any and all other bids received for said work; NOW, THEREFORE; 'BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: 1. The bid of L. C. Smith Company, in the total amount of One Hundred Eleven Thousand, Seven Hundred Sixty-Eight Dollars and Twenty-Six Cents ($111,768.26), more or less, computed in accordance with bidder's accepted proposal dated the 25th day of June, 1969, for the construction of said Alameda de las Pu1gas widening improvements, Fernside Street to Woodside Road, in accordance with the plans and specifications therefor, on file in the office of the City Engineer, is hereby accepted and said bidder is hereby found and declared to be the lowest responsible bidder for said work. 2. Any and all bids received by the city of Redwood City for the above mentioned work, other than the bid mentioned in paragraph 1 hereof, are hereby rejected.
