SPSS- <br /> <br />OR I G I NALJ <br /> <br />DEe 16 fJ8 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR UNIFORM CLOTHING <br />RENTAL SERVICE: REJECTING ALL OTHER BIDS RECEIVED; <br />AUTHORIZING AGREEMENT FOR SAID WORK; AND DIRECTING <br />RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 5816, adopted October 29, <br /> <br />1968, the City Clerk called for bids for the furnishing of a <br /> <br />uniform clothing rental service to the City of Redwood City for <br /> <br />municipal purposes, for the period January I, 1969, through <br /> <br />June 30, 1971: and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call bids were received and filed <br /> <br />with the City Clerk for the furnishing of the above mentioned <br /> <br />service: and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, L & N UNIFORM SUPPLY CO., INC., San Jose, California, <br /> <br />is the lowest responsible bidder and it is the intention and <br /> <br />desire of this Council to award said bid to L & N Uniform Supply <br /> <br />Co., Inc.: <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE: <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />I. The bid of L & N Uniform Supply Co., Inc., for the <br /> <br />furnishing and laundering of uniforms for approximately 120 City <br /> <br />employees, in accordance with specifications therefor, for the <br /> <br />period January I, 1969, through June 30, 1971, is hereby accepted <br /> <br />and said bidder is hereby declared to be ~he lowest responsible <br /> <br />bidder. Cost to the City of Redwood City for the aforementioned <br /> <br />services, as specified in bidder's proposal dated November 25, <br /> <br />1968, will be computed as follows: <br /> <br />(a) Basic charge per uniform for furnishing each <br />employee designated by the City one complete new <br />uniform, new replacements and laundry service <br />for a 30 month period . . . . . . . . . $ .95 per week <br />
