<br />. ,..<0, <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />DES:yc:lO/9/68 <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br />---------- <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br />NO.~ <br /> <br />OCr 2J i: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION DECLARING UNOCCUPIED, DILAPIDATED DWELLING <br />UNITS AND DETACHED GARAGES AT NO. lO, l2, 14 AND l6 ARCH <br />STREET IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY TO BE A PUBLIC <br />NUISANCE, DIRECTING THE OWNER TO ABATE SAID NUISANCE, <br />AND ORDERING THE EXPENSE OF ABATEMENT TO BE MADE A LIEN <br />UPON THE LAND IN THE EVENT THE NUISANCE IS NOT ABATED <br />BY THE OWNER <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Building Inspector of the City of Redwood City <br /> <br />has initiated proceedings pursuant to the provisions of Article II <br /> <br />of Chapter 9 of the Code of the City of Redwood City with respect <br /> <br />to the four unoccupied, dilapidated dwelling units and two <br /> <br />detached garages at No. lO, 12, 14 and, l6 Arch Street in the <br /> <br />City of Redwood City: and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, notice of a hearing has been given in accordance <br /> <br />with Section 9.7 of Article II of Chapter 9 of the Code of the <br />City of Redwood City: and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council has conducted a hearing and heard <br /> <br />testimony concerning the condition of said structures and the <br /> <br />estimated costs of abatement by repair, reconstruction or removal <br /> <br />in accordance with the provisions of Section 9.8 of Article II <br /> <br />of Chapter 9 of the Code of the City of Redwood City: <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE: <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. This Council hereby finds that the four dwelling units <br /> <br />and two detached garages located at No. 10, l2, 14 and 16 Arch <br /> <br />Street (Lot 3 and lO.7S' section of Lot 1, Block S, Redwood <br /> <br />Highlands Subdivision) are so dilapidated through old age, <br /> <br />neglect, misuse, deterioration and decay as to be dangerous to <br /> <br />the public, unsafe, untenantable, a health hazard, a fire hazard, <br /> <br />and to constitute a public nuisance. <br />
