S1SfL <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR RESURFACING OF <br />DESIGNATED STREETS; REJECTING ALL OTHER BIDS RECEIVED; <br />AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF CONTRACT FOR SAID WORK; AND <br />DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 5770, adopted August 26, <br /> <br />1968, the City Clerk called for bids for the resurfacing of portions <br /> <br />of designated streets in the City of Redwood City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, bids were received for the <br /> <br />performance of said work and filed with t~e City Clerk; and <br />WHEREAS, .BRAGATO PAVING CO., Belmont, California, is the <br /> <br />lowest responsible bidder and it is the intention and desire of <br /> <br />this Council to award said bid to said Bragato Paving Co.; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of Bragato Paving Co., in the total. amount of <br /> <br />Sixty-four Thousand Seven Hundred Fifty-eight Dollars ($64,758.00), <br /> <br />more or less, computed in accordance with bidder's proposal dated <br /> <br />September 11, 1968, for the resurfacing of portions of Fernside <br /> <br />Street, from McGarvey to Harcross; McGarvey Avenue, from Farm Hill <br /> <br />Boulevard to Roosevelt Avenue; Whipple Avenue, from Veterans <br /> <br />Boulevard to Allerton; Maple Street, from El Camino Real to <br /> <br />Southern Pacific Railroad right of way; Hudson Street, from <br /> <br />Jefferson Avenue to Roosevelt Avenue; Marshall Street, from <br /> <br />Walnut Street to Chestnut Street; Bay Road, from Fifth Avenue <br /> <br />to Marsh Road; Alameda de las Pulgas, from Eaton Avenue to <br /> <br />northerly City Limits; Rolison Road, from Marsh Road to Second <br /> <br />Avenue; and including an alternate item for the resurfacing of <br /> <br />Douglass Avenue, from Middlefield Road to Spring Street <br /> <br />(provided, however, that the resurfacing of Douglass Avenue <br />
