<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />DES:yc:6/27/68 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br />---------- <br /> <br />N o. 57.35 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING CON'rRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF <br />REDWOOD CREEK CHANNEL IMPROVEMENTS, MASSACHUSETTS <br />AVENUE TO VIRGINIA AVENUE, AND STULSAFT BRANCH CHANNEL <br />IMPROVEMENTS, FAIRVIEW AVENUE TO JEFFERSON BRANCH, <br />PROJECT NO. SD-2l, GENERAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 1-65; <br />REJECTING ALL OTHER BIDS RECEIVED; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br />OF CONTRACT FOR SAID WORK; AND DIRECTING RETURN OF <br />SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 5708, adopted June 5, <br /> <br />1968, the City Clerk called for bids for the construction of <br /> <br />Redwood Creek channel improvements from Massachusetts Avenue to <br /> <br />Virginia Avenue, and Stulsaft Branch channel improvements, <br /> <br />Fairview Avenue to Jefferson Branch, under Project SD-2l of <br /> <br />General Improvement District No. 1-65; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, bids were received and filed <br /> <br />with the City Clerk for the performance of said work; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, GEORGE BIANCHI CONSTRUCTION INC., San Jose, <br /> <br />California, is the lowest responsible bidder and it is the <br /> <br />intention of this Council to award said bid to said George Bianchi <br /> <br />Construction Inc., to waive any informality in the bid of the <br /> <br />above mentioned low bidder, and to reject any and all other <br /> <br />bids received for said work; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE ; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of George Bianchi Construction Inc., in the <br /> <br />total amount of Three Hundred Seventy-one Thousand Seven Hundred <br /> <br />Ninety Dollars ($371,790.00), more or less, computed in accordance <br /> <br />with bidders proposal dated June 26, 1968, for the construction <br /> <br />of Redwood Creek channel improvements from Massachusetts Avenue <br /> <br />to Virginia Avenue, and Stulsaft Branch channel improvements, <br /> <br />Fairview Avenue to Jefferson Branch, under Project SD-2l of <br />
