RE~OLUT1.0N .N O. 510~ RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF PUBLIC .IMPROVEMENTS FOR REDWOOD CITY GENERAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 1-64, SUBDIVISION NO.1; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF CONTRACT FOR SAID WORK; AND, DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSIT WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 5677, adopted April 22, 1968, the City Clerk called for bids. for the construction of cer- tain public improvements, including streets, water system facilities, sanifary s~wers, storm drainage facilities, 'and lighting system facilities for Redwood City General Improvement District No. 1-64, Subdivision No. I: and WHEREAS, pursuant to said call bids were received and filed with the City Clerk: and WHEREAS, HOOD CORPORATION, of San Jose, California, is the lowest respons.ible bidder .and it is the intention and desire of this Council to award said contract to Hood Corporation; NO\,oy, THEREFORE; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RED~~lOOD CITY, AS FOLLO~vS: 1. The bid of HOOD CORPORATION, in the total amount of I . Seven Hundred One Thousand Three Hundred Twenty-One Dollars ($701,321.00), more or less, computed at the unit prices quoted in bidder's proposal opened May 22, 1968, consisting of bidder's base bid as contained in Schedules A, B, C, D and E, and not . including alternate bid items contained in Schedule D, for the construction of certain public improvements, including streets, water system facilities,. sanitary sewers, storm drainage facilities, and lighting system facili ties for Subdivision No.1. of Redwood City General Improvement District No. 1-64, in accordance with the plans and specifications therefor on file' in the office of the City Clerk, is hereby accepted and said bidder is hereby declared to be the lowest responsible bidder.
