.00f <br />R E S 0 L U T 1 0 N N 0. 3351 <br />RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT <br />CERTAIN PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS <br />PIEDMONT WAY IMPROVEMENTS <br />RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Redwood City, that <br />the public convenience and necessity require_, and that it intends <br />to order in accordance with the procedure set out in the Improve- <br />ment Act of 1911 as embodied in the Streets and Highways Code of <br />the State of California, as amended_, the following work to be done, <br />acquisitions to be had, and improvements to be made in and for said <br />City, to wit: <br />(1) The improvement of Piedmont Way from its intersection with <br />Jeff 'erson Avenue to its intersection with Altamont Way, including <br />the construction of curbs., curb returns and paving within the inter- <br />sections with Jefferson Avenue and Altamont Way as follows: <br />(a) By the construction and installation therein of two inch (21t) <br />plant mixed surfacing., thirty-one (31t) feet in width on a six inch <br />(6") crusher-run base, (with exceptions as noted on the plans and <br />specifications made therefor) standard concrete curb and gutter on <br />either side thereof and standard double driveway approaches to serve <br />parcels of land in existing use. <br />(b) By removing existing driveway approaches, relocating stop sign <br />and mail boxes and removal of all other obstructions in the line of <br />the work. <br />(c) By feathering with plant mix surfacing at the intersections of <br />Piedmont Way with Altamont Way and Jefferson Avenue to conform to the <br />existing paved surface. <br />(d) By constructing and installing therein the storm sewer system, <br />complete with all appurtenances. <br />(e) By furnishing and installing monuments. <br />(f) By -furnishing and installing four inch (4") vitrified clay sani- <br />tary sewer lateral to serve Lot 21, Block 14 Highlands of Emerald Lake <br />Subdivision No. One. <br />(g) By furnishing and installing one inch (11 copper water services., <br />complete with appurtenances to serve parcels of land not now being <br />served. <br />(h) By the construction and installation of all work and the 1"'urnish- <br />ing of all labor and materials necessary thereto or auxiliary to or <br />which may be reasonable required to complete any of the work to be <br />�-' ! ,I ­ <br />done 1 <br />.n Paragraphs (1) (a) to (h) hereinbe.-, ,,) 1.(.-:,, <br />_1 _ <br />
