C OM -R- 2 <br />RE S GLUT I ON NO., <br />AEG : yc : 2/17/61 -'i <br />RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY GIVING NOTICE OF, AND DECLARING ITS INTENTION <br />TO, INITIATE ON ITS OWN MOTION PROCEEDINGS TO ANNEX <br />TO SAID CITY CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY; DE- <br />SCRIBING SAID TERRITORY AND DESIGNATING IT BY THE <br />NAME MAXWELL ANNE`XATION " ; <br />GIVING ITS REASONS FOR DESIRING SAID ANNEXATION; <br />MAKING CERTAIN FINDINGS RESPECTING SAID PROCEEDINGS; <br />AND, GIVING NOTICE OF THE TIME AND PLACE SAID COUNCIL <br />WILL HEAR PROTESTS TO SAID ANNEXATION <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY: <br />WHEREAS, there has heretofore been filed with the Boundary <br />Commission of the County of San Mateo, California, a written <br />description of a proposal to annex to the City of Redwood City <br />all that territory which is hereinafter described; and, <br />WHEREAS, said Council has received evidence showing that, <br />and finds that, said written description of its said proposed <br />annexation was filed with the Secretary of said Boundary Com- <br />mission on January 16, 1 -61 , and that said Boundary <br />Commission has prepared, or caused to be prepared, a report to <br />said Council upon said annexation proposal, all as required by <br />law, and that said Boundary Commission has approved the boundaries <br />of said proposed annexation; and, <br />WHEREAS, this Council further has received evidence showing <br />and finds: <br />(1) That said territory is situate immediately adjacent to <br />and touches and is contiguous to the boundaries of the City of <br />Redwood City; and, <br />(2) That less than twelve registered voters presently <br />reside within said territory and that said territory is there- <br />fore uninhabited; <br />- 1 - <br />
