<br />... ._~.. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />REG:yc:9/30/60-7 <br /> <br />~\ <br />f '" <br /> <br />R E ~ 0 L U T'1. 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />3225 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING BID FOR BROADWAY-BREWSTER AVENUE <br />SIGNALIZATION AND OTHER IMPROVEMENTS, MAJOR CITY STREET <br />PROJECT NO. 85, REDWOOD CITY, CALIFORNIA; REJECTING ALL <br />OTHER BIDS RECEIVED; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT <br />THEREFOR; AND DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSIT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 3179, adopted August 15, <br /> <br />1960, the City Clerk called for bids for the construction of <br /> <br />Major city Street Project No. 85, for the construction of Broadway- <br /> <br />Brewster Avenue signaliz~tion and other improvements, in the City <br /> <br />of Redwood City; and <br /> <br />vmEREAS, pursuant to said call, bids were received and <br /> <br />filed with the City Manager; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, KUNZ PAVING COMPANY, San Mateo, California, is the <br /> <br />lowest responsible bidder and it"is.the intention and desire of <br /> <br />this Council to award said bid to Kunz Paving Company and reject <br /> <br />all other bids received; <br /> <br />NOvl, THEREFORE : <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of Kunz Paving Company in the amount of Twenty <br /> <br /> <br />Thousand Two Hundred Fifty-one and 50/100 Dollars ($20,251.50), <br /> <br />more or less, for the construction of Major City Street Project <br /> <br />No. 85, for the construction of Broadway-Brewster Avenue <br /> <br />signalization and other improvements, in the City of Redwood City, <br /> <br />according to plans and specifications therefor heretofore approved <br /> <br />by Resolution No. 3179, at the price quoted in its proposal <br /> <br />dated September 29, 1960 <br /> <br />is hereby~accepted and said bidder <br /> <br />is hereby declared to be the lowest responsible bidder. <br /> <br />2. Any and all bids received by the City of Redwood City <br /> <br />for the construction of aforementioned work other than the bid <br /> <br />mentioned in paragraph 1, hereof, are hereby rejected. <br />
