<br />. <br /> <br />~ <br />-" . ,:; <br />. . /'- <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />REG:yc:9/30/60-7 <br /> <br />.- . <br /> <br />RESOLUTl.ON <br /> <br />N o. 3213 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ADOPTING M1END~1ENTS TO THE PERSONNEL RULES <br />AND REGULATIONS TO PROVIDE FOR THE PERIOD OF EMPLOYMENT <br />OF, AND FRINGE BENEFITS FOR, ENGINEERING CONSTRUCTION <br />INSPECTORS <br /> <br />~1HEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Ordinance No. 445 and <br /> <br />the Redwood City Personnel Rules and Regulations, the Personnel <br /> <br />Board of the City of Redwood City has instituted proceedings to <br /> <br />recommend to this Council certain amendments to the Personnel Rules <br /> <br />and Regulations; and <br /> <br />. ~~REAS, the Personnel Board has recommended that the amend- <br /> <br />ments hereinafter set forth be adopted by this Council; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council has reviewed the reco~nendation and <br /> <br />desires to adopt the amendments; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE : <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. That Section 12 of Rule X of the Redwood City Personnel <br /> <br />Rules and Regulations is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />"Section 12. Seasonal Appointment: ~'1hen period work <br /> <br />loads occur which do not require full time permanent employees, <br /> <br />seasonal help may be employed for such work loads for periods <br /> <br />not to exceed 180 days, and not for successive periods of <br /> <br />180 days. Benefits, including vacations, sick leave and <br /> <br />disability leave, shall not accrue to seasonal employees <br /> <br />and such employees shall not acquire permanent status for <br /> <br />the period so employed. <br /> <br />UNotwithstanding the foregoing limitations, Engineering <br /> <br />Construction Inspectors:may be employed for periods in excess <br /> <br />of ISO days.1t <br /> <br />2. That Section 8 is hereby added to Rule XIII of the Redwood <br /> <br />City Personnel Rules and Regulations, to read as follows: <br />
