REG:yc:4 /22/60 -7 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 3 <br /> RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> GIVING NOTICE OF, AND DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO, IN- <br /> ITIATE ON ITS OWN MOTION PROCEEDINGS TO ANNEX TO SAID <br /> CITY CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY; DESCRIBING SAID <br /> TERRITORY AND DESIGNATING IT BY THE NAME "EDGEWOOD <br /> ANNEXATION NO. 1 -C "; GIVING ITS REASONS FOR DESIRING <br /> SAID ANNEXATION; MAKING CERTAIN FINDINGS RESPECTING <br /> SAID PROCEEDINGS; AND GIVING NOTICE OF THE TIME AND <br /> PLACE SAID COUNCIL WILL HEAR PROTESTS TO SAID ANNEXATION <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY: <br /> WHEREAS, there has heretofore been filed with the Boundary <br /> Commission of the County of San Mateo, California, a written <br /> description of a proposal to annex to the City of Redwood City <br /> all that territory which is hereinafter described; and <br /> WHEREAS, said Council has received evidence showing that, <br /> and finds that, said written description of its said proposed <br /> annexation was filed with the Secretary of said Boundary Com- <br /> mission on December 31, 1959, and that said Boundary Commission <br /> has prepared, or caused to be prepared, a report upon said <br /> annexation proposal, all as required by law, and that said <br /> Boundary Commission has approved the boundaries of said proposed <br /> annexation; and <br /> WHEREAS, this Council further has received evidence showing, <br /> and finds: <br /> (1) That said territory is situate immediately adjacent <br /> to and touches and is contiguous to the boundaries of the City <br /> of Redwood City; and <br /> (2) That less than twelve registered voters presently <br /> reside within said territory and that said territory is there- <br /> fore uninhabited; and <br />
