REG : :11/2/59 -7 <br /> R E S O L U T I O N N O. 28 <br /> RESOLUTION OVERRULING ACTION OF THE PLANNING COL'1- <br /> MISSION, GRANTING USE PERRiIT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION <br /> OF A CLUB' HOUSE BY THE LOYAL ORDER OF MOOSE NO. <br /> 1112, AND ESTABLISHING CONDITIONS THEREON <br /> WHEREAS, the Loyal Order of Moose No. 1112 is the owner of <br /> certain property located on Jefferson Avenue in a district zoned <br /> as a "U" District; and <br /> WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 600 of the City of Redwood City, the <br /> Zoning Ordinance, provides that a use permit shall first be ob- <br /> tained for any use to be established in a "U" District; and <br /> WHEREAS, on August 25, 1959, the Redwood City Planning Com- <br /> mission denied the application of the Loyal Order of Moose No. 1112 <br /> for a use permit to erect a club house on their Jefferson Avenue <br /> property; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 21.6 of Ordinance No. 600, an <br /> appeal from that decision was filed with the Council; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to the aforementioned Section 21,6, after <br /> giving notice as required by law, a public hearing was held on <br /> September 28, 1959 and continued to the meeting of October 26, <br /> 1959, and facts both for and against the granting of the application <br /> were presented to the Council; and <br /> WHEREAS, AS, the Council after examining the records of proceedings <br /> of the Planning Commission and hearing the evidence presented on <br /> appeal is prepared to render a decision; <br /> N0 , THL'i EFORE : <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1. The action of the Planning Commission denying the use <br /> permit to the Loyal Order of Noose No. 1112 is hereby overruled. <br /> 2. The Council hereby grants a use permit to the Loyal Order <br /> of Noose No. 1112 to allow construction and operation of a Lodge <br />
