111 i CGM:yc :4 /29/71 <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> R E S O L U T I O N NAY 3 '71 <br /> NO. <br /> RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR RESURFACING OF <br /> DESIGNATED STREETS; REJECTING ALL OTHER BIDS RECEIVED; <br /> AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF CONTRACT FOR SAID WORK; AND <br /> DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 6480, adopted April 5, <br /> 1971, the City Clerk called for bids for the resurfacing of <br /> portions of designated streets in the City of Redwood City; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, bids were received for the <br /> performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and <br /> WHEREAS, FREEMAN - SONDGROTH CONSTRUCTION CO., Mountain View, <br /> California, is the lowest responsible bidder and it is the <br /> intention and desire of this Council to award said bid to said <br /> Freeman - Sondgroth Construction Co.; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1. The bid of Freeman - Sondgroth Construction Co., in the <br /> total amount of Thirty -three Thousand One Hundred Eighty and 5,03100 <br /> Dollars ($33,180.50), more or less, computed in accordance with <br /> bidder's proposal dated April 27, 1971, for the resurfacing of <br /> portions of Winslow Street, from Marshall Street to approximately <br /> 100 feet northerly of Allerton Street; Upton Street, from <br /> Roosevelt Avenue to 120 feet northerly of Roosevelt Avenue; <br /> Massachusetts Avenue, from Virginia Avenue to Kentucky Street; <br /> Sapphire Street, from Jefferson Avenue to James Avenue; Ruby <br /> Street, from Jefferson Avenue to St. Francis Street; and Jefferson <br /> Avenue, from El Camino Real to Hudson Street, according to plans <br /> and specifications entitled "General Specifications and Special <br /> Provisions for Construction of Street Resurfacing for Fiscal Year <br /> 1970 -71 - City of Redwood City - California" is hereby accepted <br />
