C <br /> ORDINANCE AMENDING �ITY ORDINANCE, RELATIN <br /> NO. 1130, THE REDWOOD <br /> TO AUTOMOBILE SERVICE STATIONS <br /> THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> SECTION 1. Section 17.2 of Ordinance No. 1130, the Redwood <br /> City Zoning Ordinance, adopted May 11, 1964, is hereby amended <br /> to read as follows: <br /> "Secti 17.2 permitted Uses. The following structures <br /> and uses are permitted in the IR District: <br /> "(a) Machine shops, laboratories, and other establish- <br /> ments used for research, manufacturing, <br /> assembly <br /> and repair operations. All such uses shall be <br /> conducted within a completely enclosed building. <br /> nd <br /> "(b) Warehouses, wholeusi A ne use s permit may <br /> distribution operations. <br /> issued to c all such usesushall outside ding; <br /> otherwise, , <br /> within a building. <br /> "(c) C shops, electrical, plumbing, and heating <br /> shops, sheet metal shops, upholstery shops, <br /> bakeries, canneries, creameries, bottling p lants, <br /> laundries and cleaning and dyeing establishments <br /> so long as any activities or operations connected <br /> therewith which are normally capable of creating <br /> noise, odor, glare or dust are located wholly <br /> within a completely enclosed room having no <br /> exterior entrance within 50 feet of any street <br /> or adjacent property unless such entrance is <br /> completely shielded by part of the building from <br /> such street or adjacent property. <br /> "(d) Offices, parking lots and garages. <br /> "(e) Automobile, truck, trailer, boat, plane, and <br /> heavy equipment establishments, including major <br /> repair facilities, rental and sales. A use <br /> permit may be issued to conduct these uses out- <br /> side a building; otherwise, all such uses shall <br /> be conducted within a building. <br /> "(f) public utility buildings, substations and service <br /> yards. <br /> "(g) public and quasi - public uses." <br /> SECTION 2.
