- ORIGINAL Agreement Between the County of San Mateo and the City of Redwood City for Fire Protection Services for the Fire Protection Sub-Zone of San Mateo County Service Area No. 8 (a portion of the unincorporated North Fair Oaks area) THIS AGREEMENT is made as of this IB'~l day of l~oYatnB~R. ,1997, by and between the COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, a political subdivision of the State of California, hereinafter referred to as "County", and the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a municipal corporation of the State of California, hereinafter referred to as "City". Witnesseth: WHEREAS, the County and the City have previously entered into an agreement whereby the City agreed to provide fire protection services for the territory embraced by the Fire Protection Sub-Zone of San Mateo County Service Area No. 8; and WHEREAS, said previous agreement terminated on June 30, 1997; and WHEREAS, the parties hereto find it is necessary and desirable that the City continue to provide fire protection services within said Fire Protection Sub-Zone: NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual terms and conditions contained herein, the parties hereto agree as follows: 1. Definitions. (a) Base Fee. "Base Fee" means Seven Hundred and Fifty Dollars ($750.00) when applied to a call at properties, on streets, or in intersections wholly within the Fire Protection Sub-Zone; and Three Hundred Seventy-Five Dollars ($375.00) when applied to a call on streets, or in intersections where a portion of the street or intersection is within the corporate limits of City and a portion of the street or intersection is within the Fire Protection Sub-Zone. (b) Chargeable Call. "Chargeable Call" means a Code 2 Call or a Code 3 Call within the Fire Protection Sub-Zone for which Redwood City Fire Department personnel 10/21/97
