RD-01-61 <br /> <br /> CONCURRENT RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL AND REDEVELOPMENT <br /> AGENCY OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY CERTIFYING REVIEW AND <br /> CONSIDERATION OF THE FINAL ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT ON, <br /> AND APPROVING EXECUTION OF THE DISPOSITION AND <br /> DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT FOR, THE DOWNTOWN RETAIL-CINEMA- <br /> OFFICE AND PARKING PROJECT, MAKING FINDINGS REQUIRED BY THE <br /> CALIFORNIA ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY ACT, ADOPTING STATEMENTS <br /> OF OVERRIDING CONSIDERATIONS, AND ADOPTING A MITIGATION <br /> MONITORING PROGRAM PROVIDING FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF <br /> IDENTIFIED MITIGATION MEASURES RELATING TO THE PROJECT <br /> <br /> RECITALS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Redevelopment Agency of the City of Redwood City <br /> ("Agency") contacted all owners of property within that area of the Downtown <br /> Subarea of Redevelopment Project Area No. 2 proposed for a retail-cinema <br /> complex project ("Project Site") to ascertain if they desired to exercise their owner <br /> participation rights under the Community Redevelopment Law (Health and <br /> Safety Code §33000 et seq., or "CRL"), but no owner proposed to exercise such <br /> rights; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Agency conducted a request for proposal process which <br /> resulted in selecting Western Irmisfree Ventures, LLC ("Developer") to propose <br /> development of the Project Site and to determine the feasibility of entering into a <br /> disposition and development agreement ("DDA") for such development <br /> pursuant to the California Redevelopment Law ("CRL"); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Agency entered into an Agreement to Negotiate Exclusively <br /> with Developer dated June 10, 1999 (the "ERN") related to proposed <br /> development of a retail cinema complex project, the term of which ERN has <br /> <br /> 1 RD-040 <br /> Concurrent Cinema Resolution: <br />_ 1/24/01 <br /> <br /> <br />
