" ~_ 6/7/99 <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1130-302 <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE ADDING ARTICLE 28 (COMMENCING WITH SECTION 28.1) <br /> TO ORDINANCE NO. 1130, THE REDWOOD CITY ZONING ORDINANCE <br /> ESTABLISHING THE REDWOOD SHORES BAYFRONT ZONING DISTRICT <br /> CLASSIFICATION <br /> <br /> Whereas, on March 16, 1999, the Planning Commission of the City of <br /> Redwood City recommended for City Council approval, the establishment of the <br /> Redwood Shores Bayfront Zoning District classification within the City of <br /> Redwood City; and <br /> <br /> Whereas, the Planning Commission recommended for City Council <br /> approval the rezoning of certain property from Tidal Plain District to Redwood <br /> Shores Bayfront District; and <br /> <br /> Whereas, this Council, having reviewed the recommendation of the <br /> Planning Commission and having considered the evidence received at the public <br /> hearing duly noticed and held for said proposed rezoning, finds that the proposed <br /> rezoning is in the public interest and consistent with the purposes of the <br /> Redwood City Zoning Ordinance, adopted May 11, 1964, as amended (the <br /> "Zoning Ordinance"); <br /> <br /> NOW THEREFORE: <br /> <br /> THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1. Article 28 is hereby added to Ordinance No. 1130, the <br /> Redwood city Zoning Ordinance, to read as follows: <br /> <br /> "ARTICLE 28 <br /> <br /> P, SB (p,edwood Shores Bayfront) District <br /> <br /> Section 28.1 Purpose: To provide a district for certain types of <br /> development on lands adjacent to San Francisco Bay which are compatible with <br /> the scale and appearance of developments within the Redwood Shores area of <br /> the City. <br /> <br /> Section 28.2 Permitted Uses: The following structures and uses are <br /> permitted in the P, SB District: <br /> <br /> a.
