" ~_ 6/7/99 ORIGINAL ORDINANCE NO. 1130-302 ORDINANCE ADDING ARTICLE 28 (COMMENCING WITH SECTION 28.1) TO ORDINANCE NO. 1130, THE REDWOOD CITY ZONING ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE REDWOOD SHORES BAYFRONT ZONING DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION Whereas, on March 16, 1999, the Planning Commission of the City of Redwood City recommended for City Council approval, the establishment of the Redwood Shores Bayfront Zoning District classification within the City of Redwood City; and Whereas, the Planning Commission recommended for City Council approval the rezoning of certain property from Tidal Plain District to Redwood Shores Bayfront District; and Whereas, this Council, having reviewed the recommendation of the Planning Commission and having considered the evidence received at the public hearing duly noticed and held for said proposed rezoning, finds that the proposed rezoning is in the public interest and consistent with the purposes of the Redwood City Zoning Ordinance, adopted May 11, 1964, as amended (the "Zoning Ordinance"); NOW THEREFORE: THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Article 28 is hereby added to Ordinance No. 1130, the Redwood city Zoning Ordinance, to read as follows: "ARTICLE 28 P, SB (p,edwood Shores Bayfront) District Section 28.1 Purpose: To provide a district for certain types of development on lands adjacent to San Francisco Bay which are compatible with the scale and appearance of developments within the Redwood Shores area of the City.
