RESOLUTION No, 11-0 A RESOLUTION of THE PLANNING COMMISSION of THE CITY of REDWOOD CITY RECOMMENDING THAT THE CITY COUNCIL of THE CITY of REDWOOD CITY ADOPT A ZONING ORDINANCE AMENDMENT ESTABLISHING THE MIXED USE CORRIDOR ZONING DISTRICT UNDER ARTICLE 53 (INCLUDING RELATED REVISIONS To ARTICLES 2, 3 30 AND 0), AND AMENDING SECTION 30,6A (1) As IT RELATES To PARKING LOT DRIVE AISLE DIMENSIONS WHEREAS, on October 11, 2010, the City council of the City of Redwood Cit ("City Council") adopted the new Redwood City General Plan; WHEREAS, the General Plan contemplated the establishment of a Mixed Use Corridor Zoning District; WHEREAS, the proposed Zoning Ordinance Amendment is comprised of: a establishment of Article 53 as the Mixed Use corridor Zoning District Ordinance; b revisions to Articles 2, 3 30 33, and 60 related to the Mixed Use Corridor Zonin District; and (c) amendment of Section 30.6A (1) as it relates to parking lot drive aisle dimensions; WHEREAS, a notice of public hearing on the Zoning Ordinance Amendment was mailed to all properties within a Soo -foot radius of the area affected by the Zonin Ordinance Amendment and duly published in the Daily News 10 days prior to the public hearing, and the Planning commission Meld a public hearing on the Zoning Ordinance Amendment on May 18,2010; WHEREAS, on May 3, 2011, the Planning Commission held a public hearing on the proposed Zoning Ordinance Amendment, and on said date the public hearing was opened, held and closed; WHEREAS, after the duly noticed public hearing, the Planning Commission considered and finds that the proposed Mixed Use corridor District Zoning ordinance and changes to the parking lot drive aisle dimensions are in the public interest and consistent with the Redwood City General Flan, and desires to refer to the City council ■ consideration of the Zoning Ordinance Amendment; WHEREAS, the City Council, by Resolution fro. 15059 adopted on October 11, 2010, certified the General Ilan Final Environmental Impact Report ("EIR"); and the Cit prepared an addendum to the El R to address the environmental impacts of the fixed Use corridor Zoning District ordinance and amendment related thereto, which found that there are no new significant impacts nor any increase in the severity of previousl identified impacts, and that no change in circumstance has occurred with respect to the p EIR and the proposed Mixed Use Corridor Amendment or the environment affected b ATTYIRESO.2125 /MUC Zoning ordinance 042711
