MINUTE ORDER
CITY COUNCIL MEETING
February 27, 1995

MO. 95-045

CITY CLERK DEPARTMENT
Redwood City

DATE: February 28, 1995

Attention: City Manager
City Attorney
Community Development Director
Planning Director

SUBJECT: Redwood Shores Specific Plan Shuttle Service (109)

Meeting of the Council of the City of Redwood City on February 27, 1995

Present: Councilmembers Buchan, Harmett, Howard, La Berge, Sanfilipo, Steinfeld
and Mayor Gasparini

Absent: None

The following motion was made and entered on the Minutes:

Item No. 9. City Manager Everett stated that traffic was such an important
issue that the Council would accept a better alternative than the described
shuttle service if one became available, but the Council should retain the
discretion on this issue rather than give it over to an automatic fommla.

In response to Council questions, Planning Director Patterson described the
justification for requiring shuttle service according to a fifty pement occupancy
formula over the previously proposed "occupancy of 200,000 square feet", and
City Manager Everett stated that ithis formula is fair to developer and protects
the City.
