PAC - 96 -1 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING THE TECEMCAL ADDENDUM TO TM <br />REDWOOD PENIN SULA ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACTREPORT AND <br />CERTHFYING TIDE REDWOOD PENINSULA ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br />REPORT AND TE WdCAL ADDENDUM AS TBE <br />PROJECT <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT <br />(FLATIRONS FUNDING) <br />June 19 , 1996 <br />O n motion o Planning Co mmis "' on 11�Iernber G a. r c a duly seconded and can <br />the following resolution was adopted: <br />WHEl SAS, pursuant to the provisions of Sections 21 000 et seq., of the Califon a Public <br />Resources Code, and the State CEQA Guidelines, the City of Redwood City may prepare and <br />approve a technical addendum (the 'Technical Addendu m") to an Environmental Impact Report <br />p p <br />"EIR "); and <br />AREAS, Flatirons Funding, .:a limited partnership, ( "Flatirons ") is the owner of the <br />p roperty (the.Property") comprising approximately 42.63 acres of vacant land within the of <br />Redwood City ( "City ") on which Flatirons proposes to develop a project (the "Project ") - and <br />WHEREAS, on May 24, 19.$2, the City of Redwood City approved a Development <br />Agreement, as evidenced by ordnance 18 <br />9, for property located within the Redwood Shores <br />area, which Development Agreement included the Property; and <br />WHEREAS, the Project c onsists of a maximum. of 1 1,D0o,Q0O square feet of office space <br />p <br />on the Property, and up to 50,000 square feet. of special purpose accessory structures, including <br />cafeteria, fi tness and conferencing faculties; .and <br />AREAS, the Project is consistent with the City's general Plan, which designates the <br />site for ".Office Park Oriented Uses," and with the _zoning designations. for the site, which are <br />Commercial Park (CP).and Professional Office (PO i- and <br />WHEREAS, M.1975, after a duly noticed public hearing, the Planning Com fission of <br />City considered and certified the Environmental Impact Report for the General Plan Revision for <br />Redwood Peninsula ("Redwood <br />e ninsula EIW ") as ado uate and in compliance with the <br />q p <br />California Environmental Quality Act; and <br />AREAS, the Redwood Peninsula EIS. has already evaluated the environmental <br />impacts of the development of the Redwood Peninsula, includin the Pro' pct site • and <br />g <br />MEW / EAADDRE3.DOC <br />
