- ORIGINAL <br /> <br /> AGREEMENT <br /> <br /> Greer Gardens <br /> <br /> Greer Gardens Expansion 2003/2004 <br /> <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this"~ day of ~~ <br />2003, by and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a charter city and municipal <br />corporation of the State of California ("City") and Greer Gardens, a California for <br />profit organization ("Contractor") (collectively the "Parties"). <br />WlTNESSETH: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor will expand a horticultural business that will hire six <br />new employees; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to <br />conduct the program described in the attached Exhibit B (Contract Objectives), <br />which is incorporated herein by this reference (the "Program"), for residents of City <br />during the fiscal year commencing July 1,2003, and ending June 30, 2004; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, City Council has reviewed Contractor's request; finds that <br />providing the financial assistance will benefit Redwood City and its citizens; and, <br />desires to allocate to Contractor the sum of Forty Five Thousand, One Hundred <br />Sixty Eight and no/100 Dollars ($45,168). <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the Parties hereby agree as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. City will allocate to Contractor the sum of <br />Forty Five Thousand, One Hundred Sixty Eight and no/100 Dollars ($45,168) for <br />exclusive use by Contractor during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2003, and <br />ending June 30, 2004, solely for the purposes described in Paragraph 2. <br /> <br /> 2. USE OF FUNDS. Contractor will use the funds provided pursuant to <br />Paragraph 1 solely for the Program purposes described in Exhibits A (Budget) & <br />B. <br /> <br /> 9/11/03 <br /> <br /> <br />
