ORDINANCE NO. 114. GRANTING TO THE SOUTHERN PACIFIC RAILROAD COMPANY, A RAILROAD CORPORATION, AND TO ITS SUCCESSORS, AND ASSIGNS, THE RIGHT, PhIVILEGE AND FRANCHISE, FOR THE TERM OF FIFTY YEARS, TO CONSTRUCT, MAINTAIN, AND OPERATE RAILROAD TRACKS UPON THAT CERTAIN STRIP OF LAND IN THE TOWN OF REDWOOD CITY, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, ADJOINING THE NORTHERLY LINE OF THE PERMANENT WAY OF SAID COMPANY SAID STRIP HAVING A UNIFORM WIDTH OF FIFTEEN FEET AND EXTEND- ING FROM THE CENTER LINE OF FINE STREET TO THE EASTERLY LIMITS OF THE TOWN OF REDWOOD CITY: AND UPON THAT CERTAIN STRIP OF LAND IN SAIL) TOWN ADJOINING THE SOUTHERLY LTNE OF THE PERMANENT WAY OF SAID COMPANY, SAID STRIP HAVING A UN- IFORM WIDTH OF FIFTEEN FEET AND EXTENDING FROM THE CENTER LINE OF PINE STREET TO THE CENTER LINE OF WILLOW STREET; ALSO UPON THAI CERTAIN STRIP OF LAND IN SAID TOWN ADJOINING THE NORTHERLY LINE OF THE PERMANENT WAY OF SAID COMPANY, SAID STRIP HAVING A UNIFORM WIDTH OF TIIHNIY FEET AND EXTENDING FROM THE WEST- ERLY LINE OF WINSLOW STREET (FO,IMERLY FOURTHS TREET) TO THE CENTER LINE OF MAIN REDWOOD CREEK. WHEREAS, The Southern Pacific Railroad Company, a railroad Corporation, is the owner of, and maintains and operates, by steam locomotives, an inter- state railroad which railroad extends through the Town of Redwood City, in the County of San Mateo, State of California, and WHEREAS, Said Company is the owner of certain permanent right-of-way in said Town of Redwood City, upon which said railway has been constructed and is being operated, which permanent way between the westerly line of Winslow Street (formerly Fourth Street) and the centerline of Mein Redwood Creuk, forty feet in width, and between the center line of Main Redwood Creek and the center line of Pine Street is eighty feet wide, and between the center line of Pine Street and the center line of Willow Street, is fifty feet wide, and between the center line of Willow Street and the easterly limits of said Town is seventy five feet wide; and WHEREAS, The Town of Redwood City is the owner of a strip of land of the uniform width of fifteen feet adjoining the northerly line of said permanent way of said Company between the center line of Pine Street and the easterly limits of said Town, and is the owner of a strip of land of the uniform width of fifteen feet adjoining the southerly line of said permanent way of said Company between the center line of Pine Street and the center line of Willow Street; and said Town is also the owner of a strip of land of the uniform
