' a O R I G I N A L 12/16/96 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 129�s <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br /> OF SECOND AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT FOR <br /> OPERATION OF FAIR OAKS COMMUNITY CENTER <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City operates and maintains the Fair <br /> Oaks Community Center (the "Center") for the provision of various services, <br /> including community recreation and library facilities for that area known as the <br /> "Fair Oaks Target" Area; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to agreement by and between the City and the <br /> County of San Mateo, dated February 20, 1979, (the "Agreement"), operation <br /> and maintenance of the Center is carried out by the City, subject to <br /> reimbursement of a portion of said costs by the County; and <br /> WHEREAS, Paragraph 5 of the Agreement acknowledges the <br /> establishment of an Advisory Board (the "Board") for the Center and establishes <br /> the term of office of each member thereof; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 11511 entitled, "Resolution <br /> Approving and Authorizing Execution of Amendment to Agreement for Operation <br /> of Fair Oaks Community Center," adopted April 22, 1991, by this Council, the <br /> City and the County entered into that certain agreement entitled "First <br /> Amendment to Agreement-Joint Operation of Fair Oaks Community Center," <br /> dated as of July 23, 1991, (the "First Amendment"), amending said Paragraph 5; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, this Council desires further to amend Paragraph 5 of the <br /> Agreement pertaining to the term of office of inembers of the Board; <br /> Reso-114 <br /> G:�shared\Redwood\Council <br /> DES:rg <br /> 12/10/96 <br />
