i MSR:sh: 10/3/74 (� Q �.r1 R E S O L U T I O N N O. � J (7 ��+'�r-�� RESOLUTION FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT, BECAUSE OF N�1'✓ 4 j��,�,� LOCAL CONDI'FZONS, THE PUBLIC HEALTH, SAFETY, WELFARE AND NECESSITY, REQUIRE CHANGES OR MODIFICATIONS TO CERTAIN PROVISIONS OF THE UNIFORM BUILDING CODE, 1973 EDITION, AS PUBLISHED BY THE INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE OF BUILDING 4FFICIALS (THIRD PRINTING) , AND AS ADOPTED BY REFERENCE, AND MADE APPLICABLE Z+0 THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 50022 .1, et seq. , of the Government Code, and Section 15 of the Charter of the City of Redwood City, this Council proposes to adopt by reference the "Uniform Building Code, 1973 Edition" as pub- lished by the International Conference �of Building Officials (third printing) ; and WHEREAS, in connection therewith, certain changes or modifications are proposed to be made to the substantive pro- visions of said Uniform Building Code, which changes or modifica- tions are reasonably necessary because of local conditions; and WHEREAS, Section 17958.7 of the California Health and S�afety Code requires, insofar as such changes or modifications relate to apartment houses, hotels, motels, and dwellings and buildings and structures accessox-1 th��reto, that the governing body of a city before making any modifications or changes to such Uniform Code, shall make an express finding that such modifications or changes are needed; NOW, THEREFORE; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS : l. In connection with the adoption of that certain ordinance entitled "An Ordinance Repealing Articles V and VI of Chapter 9 of the Code of �'he City of Redwood City; Adding Articles V, VI, and X to Chapter 9 of the Code of �he City of Redwood City; and Amending Section 9. 30 of the Code of The City of Redwood City, Relating to the Establishment of Regulations and Standards for � � � � �
